UKAA Will SleepOut to Help Out with LandAid
Please click here to donate and help end youth homelessness
On Thursday 11th March we will be supporting the LandAid SleepOut campaign.
Last year, LandAid held a series of SleepOut events across the country, in Bristol, Birmingham and London, with a total of over 800 participants and raising a record £300,000. This year, whilst the pandemic means we unable to host the event in person, we have organised a virtual SleepOut for people to take part from their homes!
Young people have been acutely affected by the devastation brought by Covid-19 and they still need our help more than ever.
There will be live stream video on the evening, and when we will hear from the young people we are helping with our fundraising, as well as other engaging content. Participants will also be put in ‘breakout groups’ with their teams on the stream so that they feel as though they are experiencing the evening with their colleagues.
We are encouraging our supporters to take part with their family as a joint effort- and to help this run smoothly, LandAid have created a handy ‘how to talk to your children about homelessness’ pack.
Homeless young people have been acutely affected by the devastation brought by Covid-19 and they still need our help more than ever. That’s why, on the 11th March, We’ll be sleeping out in our garden/balcony/ garage with our family to fundraise as much as possible for LandAid, the property industry charity – whose mission is to end youth homelessness in the UK.
LandAid does so in a number of ways:
- Providing safe, secure accommodation for young people experiencing homelessness – or those at risk of becoming homeless;
- By being directly involved with largescale capital projects – such as the landmark scheme at LandAid House;
- By providing Free Property Adviceby matching property professionals with charities in need of advice and support.
We are raising money for LandAid and would really appreciate any donation you can spare so that our BTR community can raise as much money as possible for this important cause.
Half our our funds from the Sustainability Summit will be going towards this initiative.
