UKAA reveals People Awards 2023 shortlist

The UKAA Annual Build to Rent Conference & Awards 2023 is fast approaching, where the sector has the opportunity to honour those who are making an inspirational contribution to Build to Rent (BTR).

During the evening of 2nd November, the convivial award celebration will include the unique UKAA People Awards, which are presented in recognition of outstanding personal achievement. This year, UKAA has received a record number of nominations, reflecting the immense amount of work currently taking place across the UK’s BTR sector. After an extensive review process, we are delighted to announce the shortlists for the 2023 UKAA People Awards:

Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award

  • Michael Howard, urbanbubble
  • Roger Southam, Roger Southam Associates
  • Rory Cramer, HomeViews

Rising Star Award

  • James Housden, Property Management Recruitment
  • Rita Correia, Quintain
  • Richard Smith, Moda

UKAA will announce the winners after the Annual BTR Conference 2023, with the Awards Celebration beginning at 5.30 pm. Tickets for the event, which takes place at etc. Venues, Houndsditch, London, are available to book online, with delegates also able to book a table or private area by contacting UKAA.

The UKAA Annual BTR Conference will begin at 9 am, with a packed schedule of presentations, seminars, discussion groups and networking opportunities centred around the headline theme: BTR: The Transformative Value of Investing in Homes and Communities. With so many sector leaders present, the event is all about action, with sessions identifying points to take forward as the BTR sector continues to evolve, innovate and progress. Within the overall theme, four distinct strands will examine: strengthening the commitment to quality; the value of the customer and community; increasing investment; and setting policy and standards.

2023’s annual conference will also be the launchpad for the BTR Code of Practice, which will be crucial to the culture and conduct of the sector, as well as its positioning with central and local government and customers over the years ahead.

At the end of the event, the UKAA People Award winners will be announced, along with winners of three Whole Life Costing Awards (Development Phase Whole Life Costing Award, Supply Chain Whole Life Costing Award and Operational Phase Whole Life Costing Award).

The UKAA Awards are an excellent way to celebrate the key players who are leading our sector in innovative and exciting ways. They are also a chance for those individuals to share inspirational insights into their work and to end the Annual Conference on a celebratory, forward-looking note, with those present excited to action what they have learned and make the most of working with the new contacts they have made.” – Brendan Geraghty, CEO, UKAA
