UKAA News Buzz 8/11/22 How to flex to meet the resident demands of the moment

YOUR BTR NEWS BUZZ

EDITOR’S NOTE

After a heated (pun intended) family discussion this week, we folded and turned the heating on at a balmy 18°. In previous years, we wouldn’t have thought twice about heating, but with energy prices soaring, interest rates at a 30 year high, inflation at its highest in 40 years and banks warning of a 2-year recession, I’m sure I’m not alone in questioning household habits that happen because “that’s what we’ve always done.”

As a furniture rental business nearing its 40th birthday, (we were renting furniture long before it got cool) our business has faced multiple recessions, economic downturns, and some seriously tricky operating conditions (thanks COVID). But as a business we’ve always strived to question, adapt, and improve our service on a regular basis.

So, what about BTR furnishings?

In this ever-changing landscape, investing in permanent furniture solutions won’t allow you to flex to meet the resident demands of the moment. Our furniture rental service allows your residents to have the furniture they want when they need it and return it when they don’t. It’s a furnishing service, built for rent.

So, if you’re in the habit of purchasing furniture because, ‘that’s what you’ve always done’, maybe it’s time to switch?
