Latest UKAA Virtual Reverse Trade Show hailed a “terrific event”

The UKAA Virtual Reverse Trade Show held on 21st September 2023 has been hailed as a significant success by the Build to Rent (BTR) operators and suppliers in attendance.

The member-only event provided the opportunity for attendees to connect, through a series of 10-minute meetings spread over two hours. The “speed dating” style of the format provided direct access to key decision makers on both sides of the table.

We have held a number of these events both in person and virtually now and have honed the format to ensure that all those attending get maximum value from the session. Making the right connections in the Build to Rent space can deliver valuable results for the businesses involved, for investors and for their end users – renters.” – Brendan Geraghty, CEO, UKAA

The most recent Virtual Reverse Trade Show was attended by operators including Cortland Consult, Group SP, Legal & General Investment Management, Packaged Living, urbanbubble, Allsop ALM and VervLife. The firms met with suppliers including Irwin Mitchell, BoConcept, Hero Labs, Insite Energy, One Property Recruitment, Iterum and Flatfair.

James Brown, Partnership Manager at TrustedStays, was also in attendance. He comments: “A terrific event – I had three great calls with potentials and I hope that they develop in the future for us.”

UKAA’s Reverse Trade Shows are known for driving forward business connections and deals, with both operators and suppliers keen to make the most of the networking opportunity. Attendee feedback has been particularly positive following the 21st September event, with one supplier reporting:

“Another fantastic reverse tradeshow. The organisation was impeccable and I had the opportunity to meet with a number of prospective clients.”

Operators’ feedback on the Virtual Reverse Trade Show format is equally positive, with one previous attendee commenting:

“The UKAA reverse trade show is a must for all companies looking to speak with quality, professional and knowledgeable suppliers in the BTR sector – cannot be missed.”

The fast pace at which the BTR sector is expanding makes such events particularly useful. The UKAA team is already planning the next event, with further details regarding dates and timings to follow.
