Howdens joins UKAA as a member

Howdens was founded in 1995 and is now the UK’s number one specialist kitchen supplier with total revenues of £2.3 billion in 2022. In the UK we provide trade professionals, primarily local builders, with kitchens, joinery and hardware products, which are available from local stock at more than 800 depots across the UK, supporting our trade customers achieve exceptional results for their customers. At the end of 2022, Howdens also operated 60 depots in France and Belgium and five depots in the Republic of Ireland.

We make all of the kitchen cabinets and some of the other products we sell at locations in the UK. Our two principal factories are in Runcorn, Cheshire and Howden, East Yorkshire, both of which achieved neutral carbon status.

We were founded on the principle that the business should be worthwhile for all concerned and that includes our customers, the home occupiers they serve, the local communities we operate in, local and national charities, our large network of suppliers, our investors and of course our people. In recent years we have been voted in the Top 25 Best Big Companies to work for by the Sunday Times and named as the UK’s number one supplier of trade kitchens by the Mintel group. We also hold a Royal Warrant by Appointment to her Majesty the late Queen Elizabeth II to supply goods and services to Royal Households.
