The ARl has appointed Richard Frudd of Quod as the new Chair of its North East and Yorkshire Hub.
From 1 September 2026, Frudd leads the regional Hub in its work on local advocacy, government engagement and raising awareness of Build to Rent’s role in addressing the region’s housing challenges.
Frudd, a Senior Planning Director at Quod with over 25 years’ experience of large scale complex residential, commercial and regionally strategic developments, steps into the Chair role previously held by Glide UK’s Paul Beattie and will serve alongside existing Vice Chair Dan Asquith of BRE.
Brendan Geraghty, CEO of the Association for Rental Living, welcomed the Hub’s new Chair, commenting: “We are delighted that Richard will lead the next phase of the Hub’s valuable work, with education, networking and events all contributing to the success and growth of the residential living sector in the North East and Yorkshire.
“The Association for Rental Living would also like to thank outgoing Chair Paul Beattie of Glide for his extensive work in founding the Hub back in 2024, which came at a key moment for Build to Rent schemes in the region.”
Richard Frudd, Chair, North East and Yorkshire Hub, the Association for Rental Living, comments: “I am grateful for the opportunity to lead the Hub into its next chapter following the brilliant work of Paul and Dan to get it established and thriving. We look forward to engaging with our peers across the public and private sectors to contribute to the ongoing success and growth of rental living in the region.”
Under Frudd’s leadership, the North East and Yorkshire Hub will deliver its Winter Social on 26th November 2026. Open to Association for Rental Living members and non-members, the event provides an opportunity to connect with industry peers, gain valuable market insights and enjoy an evening of networking with professionals from across the rental living industry.
