ARL Welcomes New Member: Barr Gazetas
We are built on three core pillars: people, practice, and projects.
Our people are the heart of a vibrant, dynamic and open culture, united by a shared passion for exceptional design. We foster an environment of trust, collaboration and creativity.
Our practice is warm, approachable and relationship-driven. We focus on building lasting connections with our clients, consultants and suppliers.
Our projects span diverse scales, typologies and sectors. Every project comes with its own complexities and our unique approach to overcoming challenges sets us apart. We emphasise storytelling in our designs, highlighting craftsmanship, thoughtful material detailing and a user-centred approach.
Based in London, our team of architects, interior designers, and masterplanners work closely with clients and consultants to create distinctive, flexible buildings and places that reflect each project’s unique needs.
As a practice, Barr Gazetas has built a strong reputation for our expertise in commercial retrofit projects. More recently, we’ve broadened our focus by growing a team of talented professionals who bring extensive experience in the living sector, enabling us to drive a collaborative, cross-disciplinary approach to design spanning across multiple fields. Each sector has much to learn from the other but usually operate in silos. At Barr Gazetas we are integrating the best of these sectors to deliver better, more efficient, and more thoughtfully designed living spaces, workplaces and mixed use developments.
We pair this ambition to design buildings for the future with robust capabilities in project delivery, technical design, and building safety – ensuring our ideas are not only innovative but also effectively implemented.
Our philosophy is simple: to create intelligent, human-centred designs that elevate spaces and give meaning to places. In 2024, we proudly became B Corp Certified, achieving the highest score of any UK architectural practice at the time.
We’re committed to reaching Net Zero by 2050 and are actively progressing toward that goal. As a RIBA Chartered practice and an AJ100 firm, we continue to deliver thoughtful, purposeful architecture that puts people first.
