BTR Taskforce
The Association for Rental Living is a founder representative member of the BTR Taskforce. Formed in early 2025 to support the growth of the Build to Rent and Single-Family Rental sectors across the UK, the BTR Taskforce is chaired by Clive Betts MP, and comprises a cross-sector group of professionals, including representatives from the Association for Rental Living, British Property Federation and leading developers, operators, advisers, and investors.
Meeting regularly over the next 18 months, the Taskforce will work collaboratively to highlight the benefits of BTR and SFR with a key focus being on protecting consumers through the Rental Living Code of Practice and Customer Charter – an ARL-led initiative now under the Taskforce’s remit – which will be central to defining and confirming the high standards of customer treatment as well as the quality and sustainability of homes essential to meet housing need.
