Join us for the final event in the 3-part Profitable Neighbourhoods series, hosted alongside the Association of Rental Living (ARL), where we’ll take to the stage for the challenge: Can Profitable Neighbourhoods become the new standard for housing?
In this dynamic session, witness a live design charrette where we explore a Profitable Neighbourhood in real-time—using the Density Design Drills method developed throughout the series. Experience the process of designing a profitable, dense, walkable community from scratch, driven by the question: How can we stop sprawl and make density the key to thriving, community-centered living?
What to Expect?
Watch a Live Design Charrette: Engage with our team as we collaboratively sketch out dense, walkable neighbourhoods using our rapid prototyping tools, developed in partnership with Space Syntax.
Interactive Q&A: Participate in a live debate. Test our ideas, challenge our assumptions, and question how data and intuition shape profitable, people-centered designs.
Why Attend?
Collaborative Vision: Share your insights and contribute to shaping the future of housing. Be part of the conversation to make Profitable Neighbourhoods the new standard.
Recap of Parts 1 +2 in the series:
Webinar 1: Profitable Neighbourhoods – Density is the Key
Held on September 10th, 2024, this webinar focused on the importance of density in the success of future neighbourhoods. Panellists, including Zafar Bhunnoo (CEO of Limitless Real Estate), Simon Ricketts (Partner at Town Legal LLP), and Mike Jones (Planning Partner at Bidwells), discussed how 60-90 homes per hectare and own-front-door housing can create walkable, sustainable communities. Legal and planning perspectives were explored, as well as strategies for site selection and designing profitable, community-driven developments.
Webinar 2: Mixing it Up: New and Old
On October 8th, 2024, our second webinar explored the integration of new housing developments with existing social, cultural, and commercial assets. Panellists, including Yolande Barnes (Professor of Real Estate, UCL) and Anna Rose (Director, Space Syntax), discussed the value of embedding new developments within existing communities to maximise connectivity and preserve local character, creating sustainable and vibrant neighbourhoods.
We look forward to seeing you in the final part of our series!
