
motive8 helps to ensure a sustainable future for historic riverside residential estate
As one of London’s earlier BTR developments, the Dolphin Square estate includes 1,234 Build to Rent units across 13 individual ‘houses’ set around a 3.5 acre landscaped garden. The scheme is currently undergoing an extensive restoration programme, designed to protect and enhance Dolphin Square, make the estate greener and more sustainable, while improving the comfort and quality of life of residents.
Part of the refurb project included a full overhaul of the onsite leisure amenities. Motive8 was instructed to oversee the upgrade of the large ground floor gym space, as well as a spin studio, yoga studio, main class studio and two smaller personal training/class studios in the basement. All existing equipment was traded in and recycled, and as much human powered cardio equipment was installed as possible to help ensure energy efficient credentials were met.
