This is a valuable opportunity to hear directly from the ARL leadership, participate in member discussions, and have your say in the future direction of the organisation.

5:45 PM – Building Safety: Moving from Compliance to Competency

The Building Safety Act has fundamentally changed the expectations placed upon the Rental Living Sector. The Building Safety Regulator will no longer measure success by compliance alone. Instead, the focus has shifted to competence – the capability of individuals and organisations to understand, apply and evidence the right decisions at every stage of the building lifecycle.

Hosted and sponsored by Charles Russell Speechlys, join us for this engaging in-person panel discussion featuring senior-level living sector and construction industry leaders to find out why this shift matters. 

Moderated by Francis Ho, Partner at Charles Russell Speechly, the panel discussion will share broad and in-depth practical experience of the Building Safety Act regime, including the building control regime for higher-risk buildings introduced following the Act and lessons learned. 

We also consider the topic of building safety in the context of the Grenfell Tower Phase 2 Inquiry Report, the Government’s response and how these affect the Rental Living Sector.
