UKAA Webinar: Cyber – Threat, Insurance, and Risk Management Update

Data and technology have a vital role to play in the Build to Rent sector, from understanding the profile and needs of tenants to building management systems to integrated lettings management platforms.  Supply chains are evolving rapidly and, as a result, vulnerabilities are often not fully explored or understood.

These factors combine to demand a robust approach to managing cyber risk at a time when attacks continue to increase in both frequency and severity and cyber insurance continues to increase in cost.

Led by the Aon Cyber team who advise on the identification, management and insurance of cyber risk, this interactive Q&A will provide updates on:

  • Understanding the true impact of a cyber-attack – reputation, business interruption and share price.
  • The threat – which forms of attack are property investors, operators, and advisers most likely to be exposed to and, why?
  • Insurance – cost, availability and what’s covered and not covered.
  • Defence – What are the priorities? What protection do you need? How do you plan for recovery?

Learning Outcomes:

  • Supply chain risk
  • The financial impact of a cyber event including the cyber related losses that cannot be insured against
  • The key threats to be aware of and how to minimise those threats
  • How to procure cyber insurance
  • How to develop an effective risk management framework
